Cory Boyas has been involved with the performing arts for over 25 years, dancing and choreographing on and off-Broadway, and living in Europe.

The classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical based on Michener's Pulitzer-Prize winning novel Tales Of The South Pacific, exploring racial prejudice and with a lavish score including such memorable hits as "Bali Ha'i," "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair", "Some Enchanted Evening," "Happy Talk," "Younger than Springtime," and "I'm in Love with a Wonderful Guy."

Teaching dance and choreographing for students ages 9-65 in ballet, jazz, tap, and
acrobatics. Owner and Director of the studio. Sarasota’s most progressive dance education facility. Winner of multiple platinum and high gold awards from various dance organizations.

Creative Arts Director, Suncoast School for Innovative Studies --2006-2008
Developed a unique cross-curricular approach to the arts, basing activities on students’ academic curriculum. Taught students ballet, jazz, and acrobatics, as well as teaching playwriting and directing five productions, including “Green Eggs And Hamlet,” “The Good Doctor,” and “Schoolhouse Rock LIVE!”

which toured North America.

Starred in 12 of 16 numbers re-creating original pieces by Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Gower
Champion, and Michael Kidd.

Assisted Christopher Chadman as Dance Captain for this production starring Donna
McKechnie, featuring Gregory Hines and Savion Glover. Performed at Don’t Tell Mama.

Performer, Bob Fosse: The Dancin’ Man, Pre-Broadway Workshop (NYC)--1995-1996
Worked with Chet Walker in re-setting Bob Fosse’s original works. Helped with backers performances. Involved with production until it’s move to Canada.

Dance Teacher, Broadway Dance Center (NYC) -- 1994-1996
New York City’s number one dance studio. Taught Theater Jazz and Jazz.

Dance Teacher, Steps on Broadway (NYC) -- 1994-1996
New York City’s second largest studio. Taught Contemporary Jazz and Tap.

Dance Captain, Disney’s Beauty and The Beast, Palace Theater (NYC)--1995
Dance Captain for the Broadway production of Beast, danced as the Salt and
Pepper shakers (lead dance role.)

Choreographer, Rock-A-My-Soul, Union Square Theater (NYC)--1995
This off-Broadway cult smash hit was extended three times and maintained a loyal following
throughout it’s run. Rave reviews for the choreography. Also co-starred as Nate.
